The title says it all: Running Test 'Audio, bottom microphone' and 'Audio, top microphone' in CSD shows that both mikes are flipped, i.e. if run the former test, recording on the top is louder than to the bottom, and vice versa on the later test.

I've just tested my the same thing on my XA2 via the CSD tool. I've been speaking into the bottom microphone at same value and from same distance for both tests. Bottom microphone test had a lower volume than the top microphone test. Therefore, I can conclude that a) this is also a problem for the normal sized XA2 and b) this problem really exists and should be fixed asap (meaning not in late December update).

To be honest, I don't think this is an issue that needs to be treated with highest priority, as people have not yet complained on the audio quality during phone calls. However I guess it's easy to fix and cannot see a reason why it shouldn't be fixed in the next update.

His issue is tracked by Jolla since the first release of SFOS-3 for XA2. Today we've seen the third update but still don't get a fix for it. I'd be surprised if it was hard to fix.

As discussed here, both Xperia X and Xperia X Compact seem to have same symptoms as XA2 Plus:
