sailfish as a usb speaker (and mic)
Hi
I have a one desktop computer, without (loud)speaker -- with monitor which also doesn't have speakers.
(In addition, I have difficulties to get speaker/mic working on one laptop, but usb headset w/ mic works fine)
Xperia X, OTOH, has reasonable good loudspeaker, and (surprisingly ;) also has microphone
What would be interesting, is that when I plug my SailfishX to computer, there could be option to introduce it as USB loudspeaker (perhaps even such a device that can be used in conference calls).
There are quite a few ways how this could work, but let's first see if there is more interest/feasibility for such a feature...
AFAIK Sailfish OS is using Pulse Audio, which should have some support for audio forwarding over network. So if you do setup USB networking or use WiFi between your computer and the Xperia, should be possible to send audio from the Linux computer to it.
Unfortunately this is all my speculation at the moment, would be good if someone with Pulse Audio experience could comment on this.
