how to launch the browser from fingerterm

activating a url in orgmode just flashes the screen and does nothing.
how do i set it u so it opens the default web browser instead?
cool. you can open a number of different sfos apps by simply typing the application names in terminal; i.e;
jolla-email, jolla-contacts, jolla-clock, jolla camera, jolla-gallery, jolla-settings; jolla-mediaplayer and more.....including my own jolla/sailfish app; harbour-nationalrail
