Firefox nightly with Wayland support

I just read on oswnews that Firefox now comes with Wayland Support out of the box. I wonder if this could be helpful on Jolla Communites way to update the browser? Who has more insight? It would be cool if they could update the engine.

From what I understand as a non dev with some Linux background is it is being worked on as a POC, atm. Interesting. Let us know if there is anything we can do.

Firefox uses GTK not Qt, and the problem here is not a wayland support. Afaik they already use a Qt wrapper for Firefox API. Firefox 60 (or so) switched from XPCOM to WebExtensions API, so this is another story. New API should be adopted. And it's the main problem.
