What are the plans (if there are any) for the next devices that will be supported, now that the XA2 has hit the store? In particular, I'd be interested in knowing if there is a dual 4G one in the works.

Personally, I'd be glad to see a final and stable release of SF3 for the XA2 device range with all the nasty bugs ironed out first.

Due to the Sony open device program I think it's safe to say a new device (if not custom or feature phone) will most likely be one of theirs.

Better a full version of SFOS for Xperia X and XA2 will be better than think in a future phone.

They've commited to producing images for the Planet Gemini PDA, and their new upcoming clamshell, the Cosmo Communicator: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/cosmo-communicator#/

Now, the cosmo looks nice, too.

Your search is over! The XA2 Ultra Dual SIM with real two 4G Slots and a extra SD-card slot is on sale at amazon.it for unbelievable 229€. This is the supported H4213 variant (extra files under downloads, test-version so far...) Unfortunatly only for 2hours until now ... (deal will be dead at 23:59 at 26.11.) Also i was cruising a long time over the Cosmo "Back it" button. But they only speak: "We are also looking together with our community into supporting the new CosmoCommunicator from Planet Computers. " That is far to unsure. Happy hunting!

Thanks for looking up the deal! Are you sure it's dual 4G? I have looked it up on various third-party specs sites but no one seems to specify it, and as far as I understand the Snapdragon 630 does not support it.

I would say the Sony Xperia XA3, which will be launched during CES 2019 (8-11 January 2019) See also this topic on Together

This question is a duplicate of multiple questions, the latest being "Next Sailfish device?" AFAICS and before that "Which next phone for Sailfish OS 3.1 and after?" and many, many more.

The "permanent answer" (as long as it is maintained) to these questions is here at TJC:
[Wiki] Available devices, plus rumored and legacy devices, running Sailfish OS.

Sorry @Federico and "Ack", I was pasting this a little thoughtless, and hence have deleted this statement now.

Still, while you may have been the first to ask specifically "... after the Xperia X" (although I doubt it), the question "Whats the next supported device?" was posted multiple times a year in every year since 2015.
And none of these questions ever received or will receive an answer by Jolla: Their stance is "we will announce it, when it is ready (or very shortly before that)", which absolutely makes sense given the imponderables of any porting effort.
