One thing I loved in meego was that aside from emails, calls and such I could see RSS entries on my notifications.

I would love to see that functionality again available in sailfishOS, or is it already available and I just don't know about it?

Cheers, Daniel

I'd love to have that back, cause if i remember correctly on jolla 1 it was there. But sadly it's also true that RSS as such is fading.

No, we have never seen that on Sailfish. It was on Jolla roadmap and was announced for the 2.0.0 (see "next OS upgrade") but we never got any news since then.

Will need browser integration: hit the rss icon/link, browser asks if you want to subscribe... Like on Opera12.

Also I'd like to see stats supporting the rss-is-fading comment...

And one more nice to have feature :)

I've been waiting for Meego like event screen since Jolla day 1 in 2013, at least give us RSS feed! The event screen was close to perfect in Meego!

Feedeebuster (in Jolla Store) pushes the most recent three Headlines to the events screen... similar to the mail client, where you get 3 mails per account. An integration package that's not in the Store but must be downloaded from here http://devel.kondorgulasch.de/feedeebuster/
enables background updates.

Drawback: The app is no longer actively developed, the last activity on Github was in 2016. I have the official store version installed, it still works. Never tried the integration package which might be more likely to fail with all he changes since 2016.

Thanks, I believe I tried it and did not find it to be as I can see on my still alive n9 but I'll try it again, guess that will have to do for now.
