Hey! Why should I "hack" the system and enable VPN mode to try out the best OS in the world??? Why should I hide my country of origin and choose undercover country to try/buy Sailfish X??? Why Jolla don't want new official customers? Come on,guys!!! Don't you want some profits? What is the point to offer a new SFOS3 version without expansion to new markets?

my wild guess is patent trolls... and a plethora of whacky government requirements, such as compromised encryption.

I agree with the guessing. Or maybe contracts are possible as well. You're from Russia and maybe Inoi (I think that's the brand's name) has exclusive status in selling Sailfish (RUS) devices.

At least include countries that were included in the tablet program. Obviously they had a plan then for those countries.

I would love to see Sailfish available in ALL countries around the world! Sadly, regulations, certifications, tax laws, etc. is probably the biggest stumbling blocks for expanding into other countries. @cpb I agree: patents and patent trolls probably also.

Jolla has to respect the regional versions of Sailfish OS. ...Russia, China, etc.
