I have one private IMAP account and one Exchange account for work. I have this week off, so I figured I would disable the Exchange account to try and really "get away" from work. This morning though, after sleeping in, I found eight new notifications of mail from the disabled account. I can tap those and read their content, I can swipe back to the inbox, but I can't swipe back to the list of mail-account in order to navigate to the one account that remains enabled. I had to wait for a mail to come in on the private account before I could navigate back to the private inbox.

Removing the Exchange account got me the functionality I was looking for i the end.

This is on the Sony Experia X running 3.0.0.8 Lemmenjoki

I did search, but apparently the search engine can't relate "disabled mail" to "disabled email". Shocked to see this is a known bug since 2016. Thanks for doing the administration on my duplicate question.
