You can put android_storage completely and any other regular directory in nemo's home directory hierarchy (except for those directories below android_storage) onto SD-card per [How-to] Externalising android_storage and other directories / files to SD-card.

This way you can move android_storage/Download (as part of android_storage) and / or ~nemo/Downloads to SD-card.

In Sailfish move your Android downloads directory to the SD card, then symlink it back to the original location.

okay, how to do this? can you provide some guide step by step? :) I am not so advanced to do this, I have never created symlinks. Thank you :)

You can't, I've been trying, it isn't possible - 'function not implemented'

The downloads directory for Sailfish can be changed to your sdcard, but not for android I'm afraid.

The question may as well be closed.

I have seen your guide in email info, but on my PC I cant see it :( did you delete it? I will make downloads folder in sdcard for sfos too :) but someone after you written that for android it is not possible. Why it is not possible? :( I need it. Or can you recommend me some good browser for sailfish? I use opera mini because it can download some online videos from sites and its hell damn fast. Built-in sailfish browser is f*ckin slow and cumbersome.if I only had some opera-like browser for Sailfish os, it could solve my problem. Just set symlink to sdcard and problem solved.

Yes, I deleted my post because I realised you were asking about Android and my guide was only for the Sailfish side of the phone, not Android, rather than suffer complaints that I had answered wrongly, I removed all posts.

No, I cannot recommend a good browser for Sailfish (non-android) basically because there isn't one and I largely avoid trying to use Sailfish Browser because it is absolutely crap, it crashes, it won't display many pages, touch becomes unresponsive and above all, Jolla does not seem to care that it is a pile of steaming crap.

I've already stated why it is not possible to achieve symlinking for Android side of the phone, it simply is not allowed, Jolla has not made provision, each time I tried, I got the same warning: function not implemented.

The symlink I created was for use with the Sailfish side of the phone, but symlink simply does not work in the Android side of the phone, I do not know why, there are a number of errors/warnings that occur when trying, one of them is function not implemented = basically, it is a no-go for the Android side of the phone.

Everything you said you read in your email was written here by me, yes I removed ALL instances after re-reading your question and realised my answers did not apply.

@Edz: I‘d be interested in your guide for doing this in SFOS, if you are so kind?
