Hi,

I am thinking about protecting this xperia but I do not know which one to choose which is well suited to this model? Foil or tempered glass? What brands do you praise?

Sorry for my English.

I have been happy for Nillkin case for Xperia X. I expect it to be good for XA2 too. It is thin and simple. You can't have all your property with you with that case so it works like screen protector also. https://nillkin.org/smartphones-accessories/sony-phones-accessories/sony-xperia-xa2-accessories/nillkin-sony-xperia-xa2-qin

I've gone with Insmat's leather cases for many years. I can't really complain about them. They're pretty cheap when it comes to quality and usability.

I bought my own screen protector from Finnish online shop suojakalvotukku.fi (something made of japanese panzer glass) but I have to say it's quite bad. It's bit unresponsive and I think there are some air bubbles too even though installation went fine. I can't recommend it.

The problem with the screen protection is that the screen is curved, which makes it very difficult to find a protector that fits properly. Glass doesn't curve enough and allows debris in down the sides and plastic is never wide enough and unless the sides are protected they lift. Have tried three alternatives and am still looking.

I bought the same case as m.j.a off aliexpress and while its quality is ok, I would not recommend it for use with SfOS. It has a rather tall bevel around the screen, which may be nice for protection, but I found it very hard to use the edge swipe gesture with this case.

I now use a generic clear silicone case, which does not interfere with my swipes.

For screen protection I use a TPU film (search for "3D" or "2.5D" screen protector), that is pretty much invisible when applied properly (it was pretty easy to apply) and covers the entire screen (except the sony logo for some stupid reason).

But from past experience with my n9 I don't think a screen protector is really necessary for gorilla glass. I used that phone for about 5 years with one and its screen still looks pretty good (there are hairline scratches visible with good lighting at an angle, but nothing you would notice during normal use).
