Changing password to IMAP account not working (3.0.0.8)

I changed my password for my e-mail recently, and setting a new password on Sailfish (3.0.0.8) did not work. After setting the new password, my e-mail does not work and I just keep getting the error message.
After creating a new account from scratch everything worked OK. The same happened on my Jolla C and on Xperia XA2.
Yeah, this seems to be normal for what you've described. I was about to say "scrap the account and install again", but you've done that and it is sorted, but the problem is ongoing.
