See Title. It is impossible on my device to to connect to a network using ttls and pap as phase2.

I have tried the following things:

I have installed the certificate by the way.

Results: It will allays try to connect but will fail.

Dervice Sony Xperia X lastest updates, (3.0.0.8)

I'm having the same issues on my Sailfish X (since I got it until now with v3.0.1.11). I had the same issues on my Jolla1 back when the official update for WLAN to support eduroam was released and never resolved it.

Have you solved your TTLS-PAP problem since then?

If not: Do you by chance use an anonymous (outer) identity in your config file?

As described in this other eduroam thread, some university admin told me that my phone is sending the anonymous identity also as inner (real) identity. Could that be the same problem for you?

@Twzenn i've no idea how I should check that. I once tried without using connman at all, directly invoking wpa commands, which used to work with my Jolla1, still not working (maybe I was already blacklisted that day because of too many unsuccessful connection attempts, I had tried many different things that day).

I don't have Xperia X but I can tell how I configured this on my Jolla 1 and Jolla C.

  1. Create file wifi_eduroam.config in /var/lib/connman/
  2. Put this config to created config file

[service_eduroam]

Type=wifi

Name=eduroam EAP=ttls

CACertFile=/etc/ssl/certs/your_certificate.crt (path to your cert, for example likemine)

Phase2=PAP

Identity=your_eduroam_login

Passphrase=your_eduroam_password

  1. Save it
  2. Restart your network interfaces or phone.

Unfortunately this won't work, as I mentioned above, this stopped working (at least for me) when Jolla updated its Connman to support eduroam networks.

It also does not work in my case. See for example my futile attempts here: wifi eduroam problem
