XA2 Plus and audio settings

Hi! I've got one question about Sailfish X on the Xperia XA2 Plus.

This Xperia has a couple great audio features, like Clear Audio+ and the dynamic normalizer, which only work with Sony's stock music player.

Now, are these options - as well as the stock player - available with Sailfish X as well?

Alternative question if the above one can't be answered: I'm aware that Sailfish X currently has a trial version. Is it easily revertable to Android? So that I can check if those options are usable myself.

I don't own any of the Xperia devices, but I think I can safely say that the answer is an emphatic 'no' to all your questions regarding audio/player. Perhaps someone with more knowledge will chime in.

With Xperia and SailfishOS, everything 'Sony' is gone from that device. Sailfish will use its own sound and the OS will use jolla-mediaplayer as standard, there are no fancy options in jolla-mediaplayer, no EQ, no ClearAudio+, no gimmicks, bells or whistles.

With regard to reverting to Android, I believe it is possible, but I read somewhere that you should back up the DRM (??) of the device so that you can revert back to Android successfully....this has been stated a number of times here on the forum, I just do not recall which questions - the 'search box' is your best friend, meanwhile, I found a few links pertaining to the latter part of your question;

Thank you for the links! I did check some but these ones slipped out of my search. Even better, looks like it's not necessary to backup the TA partition (something that can't be done on XA2).

Yup, I'd need to back up the DRM 'cause otherwise I won't be able to use Sony's functions, even with Android. That could mean that even if I manage to install Sony's player while having Sailfish I probably won't be able to use its "fancy options" without the DRM keys. I suppose that, obviously, there isn't any way to keep or get back Sony's DRM keys while using Sailfish.

Or, more easily, I could just look for another music player with similar functions. Although it's not very likely.
