Suddenly my JP1 loudspeaker became silent. I can hear both ringtone and media through the headphones. Is there a way to diagnose whether it's hardware or software issue?

a gentle squeeze in the area of the speaker will likely make it work again.

Possibly you are right, but I went a bit more complex way. I disassembled device and scratch connectors a little - now sound is back.

You can use the csd-tool for diagnosis:

Go to Settings/About and tap the build-number more than 5 times, which activates the tool. Maybe you have to activate the developer mode first in Settings.

Yes, by activating the developer mode you can then access command line (terminal). CSD-tool can be opened directly from terminal by entering "csd" if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the clue, but this didn't help much since audiotests are controlled manually (by ear). But anyway it was useful.

Very likely it was simple phisycal issue with loudspeaker connectors that might got oxydized. After disassembling device, scratching the connectors and reassembling it sound is back.

With a help of Edz.
