I was pleased to see that the phone app got a built-in recording feature after upgrading to Sailfish OS 3. However, I could not see it working yet.

After stopping the recording or at the call's end the message "Could not save recording" is displayed. In the CallRecordings directory I see a wav file per recording with 44 bytes.

Does anyone have or had a similar/the same problem?

I am currently using 3.0.0.8

What device are you using it on? In the past not all devices were supported afaik.

I am using the Jolla 1. Haven't seen the update 3.0.1.11 yet (according to the changelog it was released today to early access subscribers), manually checked it now and I will upgrade now. Thanks for the hint!

i have the same problem with xperia x. so it is no device specific issue.

In Xperia X call recording does not work properly (3.1.0.11). The calls I make are recorded properly, but if I'm recieving a call, the record is quiet. Sometimes there is a short sound in the beginning.

I will check it. However it's only available as early access currently. https://together.jolla.com/question/195734/release-notes-301-sipoonkorpi/#195734-update-version-history

I can confirm the upcoming 3.0.1 fixes this

Looks like it does work properly only at Original Jolla. Xperia has original Android HAL which possibly could disable API calls for recording unexpectedly. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/50970915/how-do-some-apps-overcome-phone-recording-restrictions
