how to uninstall failing patches [answered]

i did update without unapplying patches.

good: phone is working, most patches can be applied, unappmied etc

but two not. i can not uninstall them, cause unapply fails

when i manually delete the patch from patchmanager/patches and then install it again , patchmanager shows it as applied again.

btw they are not applied.

what do i need to do to make patchmanager forget them ?

I think this will work for patches not in web katalog only.

List all patches still existing, run rpm -qa|grep patch

Remove patches you don't need, run rpm -e name-of-patch --noscripts

edit flag offensive delete publish link more

try remove /var/lib/patchmanager folder and reboot

had the side effect, that pm shows 'no paclages available' and the circle remains

rwboot did not help

uninstall pm clean var/lib and usr/share + reinstall does not help

still no patches available. even after installation of one

i have.now checked var/lb

it has ausmt folder and all the subfolders ... but still shows no patches

i did uninstall, reboot, pkcon refresh, reboot, install pm2 again and now finally pm.show exactly one patch :-)

For my device, /var/lib/ does not contain a patchmanager folder - should it?

do you use 2 or.pm 3 ?

in my case the installation of.pm.or.pm2 , not sure, did create the foldwr
