[request] process monitor utility

Hello sailors and Cap'tains,

Ideally each OS have a process monitor a gui-utility with itself.
Sadly sfos doesn't have it.
Alternatively in app-store the native app "mem" do it wonderfully.
But this is not available for all devices (for example jolla tablet).

That could be one as an app, or as a utility point under settings.

And have one process monitor function not especially in detail developed than the mem one, may be benefit.
Especially if we may have a little statistic of the process like how long did it runs since last device start, how often, and the max cpu-load it used...

That to better track some power-eater process (for example in the Tablet case)...

Cheers

is the app lighthouse what you're looking for?

yes and no, seems to be incomplete.
lighthouse for its function is not bad, but i prefer mem.
But it doesn't exist for tablet :-(
i think now, what i miss no tool have it, like i represent it for myself...

There already are a couple of nice apps performing this task:

  • Lighthouse
  • Crest
  • htop (command line and GUI per how-to)
  • top (at the command line)
  • There might be more than these.

Why do you need another one?

even CSDTool has a "Power consumers" section (bottom link on main page) showing load average, perhaps not extensive but is a monitor of sorts and is a native Jolla utility/app.

In my opinion Lighthouse is maybe at least one the best apps. The fact that is has been around nearly from the beginning of Sailfish and it's native. I can absolutely recommend it to anyone.

@olf none have power consumer function
And thought that if someone make is own OS, then he should show on this aspect, and has his own tool. And make it robust with his own representation. Find strange that jolla don't have one....
