Keyboard features in Android apps and native browser

In native SailfishOS apps after you have written a word and hit space you can use backspace and the predictive text input is active for that last word again so you can still easily fix it. In Android apps on the Xperia XA2 Plus this is not working. In Android apps the keyboard is not removing the extra space before a comma, too. The same problems exist in the Sailfish Browser.

On the Jolla C this was working.

For me this is fixed in 3.2.0.12 for Android apps, but not for the native browser.

Same here (XA2, 4113). On android apps, the text input works, but in the browser it doesn't.

Add an "Android" keyboard, only for Android apps - set in

  • Settings
  • Aliendalvik Control
  • Input Methods

Ensure com.myraidgroup.inputmethod.remote/.RemoteKeyboard isn't selected (I have Swift Key as my Android keyboard, so I can always swype)

You may need to install Aliendalvik Control from Storeman (If you haven't already)

I do not want an android keyboard, I really like the Saildlfish one, it should just work as expected. Besides that this does not help in the native browser.
