Please add functionality to attach picture/files directly from keyboard. The keyboard still does not have functionality to attach files directly from keyboard (to send a picture, one has to find it in the gallery and then attach to compose mms) This is a major drawback on Xa2 beta as well as the full Sailfish X for Xperia x.

Do you refer to Messages conversation and not being to reply with a picture attached? In that case I agree. It is not the keyboards job to do it however, but the Messages applications.

I don't know why multiple people added a thumbs down to this and why one of them even falsely flagged this as spam. It's just a feature request.

Maybe because none of them like mms and want to go through extra steps (just for the heck of it) to send a picture (sarcasm)

one poster made sense that had it been about 'free' services like whatsapp everyone would be up in arms but mms uses data and data is not so cheap as in the U.S (I am in the U.S unlike maybe most Saiflish users)

"makes sense-I am based in the U.S so mms consumption of data is not an issue-understand from what I know/recollect that data is not so cheap elsewhere and hence the popularity of whatsapp etc (nevermind that it latches on to carrier waves-or used to-there were some mobile operators that wanted monetize this as their networks were used for a supposedly 'free' app (like Netflix using up cable internet-nothing is free and no such thing as cut the cord (maybe TV cord not the internet cord by the same cable operator-but I digress)

anyway too bad Sailfish is OS more geared for non US users (I paid for both Xperia X and XA2 ultra-live and learn)"

Thanks for the reply. Yes, that is correct (not keyboard but the messages) I searched and could not find a similar request and am surprised this was not requested/incorporated already. It is a basic feature so to say in almost any smartphone messaging app going back to even the years of 2012-13. For everything that Sailfish strives to make simple and in fewer steps, this one is the opposite. One has to locate a picture then select to share and then go back to the messaging app and create a new message (cannot even tack on to a reply in an existing conversation) This is a significant drawback in my view.

I did not really search much, but my first attempt brough up this request from 2016:

You might want to close yours as a duplicate.
