Hi,
I've heard that this operating system would be an open-source project, but Jolla didn't publish Sailfish OS 'till now.
If they are not going to share its source code(to port it to android devices), so tell us to work on another OS like Ubuntu! :|

In your device Settings > System setting > About product it says 'Jolla offers to provide you with the source code as defined by applicable licenses Please send a written request to: Jolla Oy [address info]''
Also most of the SailfishOS is based on many open-source and community projects like Qt, Mer, Nemo, etc..the source of which are mostly freely and openly available. Jolla has also told earlier (as pointed by the link to a tweet in the other Answer here) to inform about plans to possible availability of the entire OS later. At least, it is known that there are some closed blobs in device driver level.(e.g. Qualcomm).
In regards to porting SailfishOS to other hw the problem is not that much the UI/Silica nor the SailfishOS and middle-ware (Mer er.al) but the hardware adaptation layer (having IMO some droid stuff in there). And, already in two months time from the release we have seen initial steps of ports of SailfishOS to N9, Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 (see here: http://www.jollausers.com/2013/12/nexus-7-running-sailfish-os-shown-to-public/).
Disclaimer: Just my conception of the current situation of the source-code availability and porting status of SailfishOS to other hw
I don't really care about porting, but it would be nice to have the source available, so that we could figure out more about how certain features can be (ab)used.
Getting the source code for the official jolla apps (camera, people, mail etc.) would be worth plenty.

Also, I think that the licensing details of some conponents are still work-in-progress, but lots of native code (specifically QML) is already accessible in the device in system and jolla-apps installation dirs, like /usr/share/jolla-camera

According to Jolla, they’re working on it, but for unknown reason, they haven’t published the source code of entire Sailfish OS yet.
