It would be nice if we could have a Sailfish Tablet again. One that has more power as the official Jolla Tablet. Archos just released the Oxygen 101 S during the MWC 19. Any change we can get Sailfish OS up and running on it? Or better, official supported images?

Official Supported images - No Chance i would say Community Port is possible when:

  1. Bootloader open or unlockable
  2. Kernel Sources
  3. Android BSP (Board Support Package)
  4. AOSP or CyanogenMod or LineageOS for this model

Archos delivers a special developer edition firmware

Will that be sufficient?

Unfortunately - not. 1st thing is to check if the bootloader is open. When its closed and can't be opened - all other things are not interesting anymore...

To be honest, Archos smartphone line is more interesting Link.

I haven't seen new phones with removable battery since Faiphone 2. And the price is pretty good too. Sadly I can't find a lot of info about source code, bootloader, etc...
