You have to open the GeminiPDA to answer a call. It should be possible to answer an incoming call with a closed clam shell pressing the silver button. That is the concept for the GeminiPDA and it works with the android from Planet this way. ATM it is unusable as phone.
edit191124: No fix in 3.2.0.12, BUT mentioned in release notes as 'known issue'. Is it a sign? And what does it mean?
There is a hack out there which enables this, look around on the forums.
What I do personally is use a bluetooth mini phone tethered as a hands free device. This way you get all the telephony functions as you'd expect, and can even eave the bulky Gemini in the bag.
