Sailfish X on Jolla Store back to Android? [answered]
Hi there,
I'm pretty interested in Sailfish as it's beautiful and nice to use, but as all my email is in Exchange, I'm particularly keen to try the paid version of Sailfish X on my Gemini. I was on the verge of buying it, when I noticed this rather worrying clause:
- Re-installing the native Android OS may not be possible and is not recommended, as you will not get all of the Android functionality back.
So, I have a couple of questions:
- Are Jolla doing something that would prevent me from re-flashing Android if I decide Sailfish isn't for me?
- Does the paid version of Sailfish X require itself to be the only OS on the Gemini, or can I still dual-boot?
- Is the clause just there incorrectly/unnecessarily, or is it there to prevent support issues rather than anything really preventing going back?
I don't feel like I can purchase until I know this: spending 30 Euros on an OS to see if it works for me is one thing, but permanently being tied to that OS on a 500 Euro device is quite another.
Thanks,
Simon
