Perhaps to avoid embarrassment just in case you're playing Justin Bieber :) The sound would output from the device speaker when no bluetooth is connected.

The main problem is that you cannot resume when turning the bluetooth stuff again... Then the music mplayer starts from the beginning though it is at a pause point before.

This is normal behaviour for any smartphone, and actualy it is desired. It will also stop playing when you unplug a wired headphone.
