As you might all have noticed, there is a bug where if you type a text and send it, and immediately start typing another one, the new one will start and begin with the last typed word from the previous text. So far; from my experience, this is exclusive to Android apps such as WhatsApp. This was not the case until Predictive Text Input was installed. So this is the first bug I'm reporting.

However, after being annoyed from this with every single word I type where I keep deleting the automatically added word constantly, I decided to uninstall Predictive Text Input. To my surprise, the bug was still there and word suggestions were still there as well, as if it hasn't been removed at all. I even tried installing and uninstalling several times, I also tried removing Jolla account thinking that it might help since this is linked to the account and license bought for XA2.Didnt help.

I believe (so far) that this is another bug, and I would like to know if there is any possible way to completely remove this annoyance (rather than it being a feature which should be a standard one and not be paid for in the first place) called Predictive Text Input.

Did you try restarting the phone or restarting Home screen from Settings-Utilities after remove? I don't know if that helps but worth a try.

Maliit-server (that handlers the keyboard) needs a restart. Restarting the phone will do.

But if it persists, this is very much like an old existing text prediction bug with backspace in Android apps. You should manage to get rid of it by creating yourself a custom keyboard with no text prediction service defined. Use that for the Android apps and keep using the standard one for native apps.
