I have installed Firefox browser from Yandex store. It worked nicely for a couple of weeks but then it went to a some kind of text-selection mode which I can't turn off. This turns the whole browser unusable. When I try to scroll page or point anything on a web page Firefox opens a menu with options to copy/paste/open-link-in-new-tab etc. In desktop Firefox analogy would be that it has "shift" or "control" key down or that it always clicks the right mouse button instead of the left one.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox won't help. Any ideas?

For me it went away when I rebooted my phone. In my case this was caused by alarm when I was using Firefox.

I had the same issue myself. Fixed it by installing Firefox from Google Play. Works like a charm!

It's a bug in android implementation and can happen in any android application on Jolla. You can fix it without reboot by running as 'devel-su' in terminal. [You may look for details about enabling devel-su here: http://forum.jollausers.com/sailfish-news/devel-su-password/ ]

devel-su
systemctl restart aliendalvik.service

This causes android part of the phone to restart. It will close all open android applications. After the restart you may have to wait some ~10 seconds after clicking any android application icon. Eventually the application starts.

You are probably correct. There doesn't seem to be such bug report yet. The subject could be something like "All screen touches are interpreted as long presses under AlienDalvik."

I've had this problem several times with Opera browser, and immediately after that it happens with any android app.

same thing happens to me too now with lightning browser. it just occurred after a months use..weird.

Manatus (or someone) please go ahead and report the bug. You know the details much better than I do so you can file a better bug report. We can then close this question with a link to the bug report.
