I really appreciate the new proxy control in network setting since I hope it will make using TOR much easier but setting a proxy for mobile or wifi connections does not seem to have any effect.

TOR is listening on localhost:9050 (I checked with nmap) but all Browser seem to ignore the proxy-setting http://localhost:9050 for a manually configured global proxy.

Am I doing something wrong? Thank you for any adivce Wonko

Same problem here. i have a proxy in my home networks, no nat/masq traffic to the outside world. so i configured the wlan proxy, not global proxy, and with tcpdump u can see that no traffic hits the proxy... all traffic wants to go directly to the internet...asume this is a bug in oulanka

It seems Jolla did not care about the browser(s) - which is not getting love at all.

Having the proxy set to 127.0.0.1:9050 and tor running the browser does not care. But having tor disabled and trying to use pkcon to download something there is no inet connection. So it seems the setting is used partly from the system, no idea where and what will use the proxy. But the browser definitely not

I could certainly mess around with about:config or write a little script to change the configuration file.

Is that not what 'NielDK - tor' and 'coderus - tor settings applet' were meant for? First needs a recompile as ssl libs are not matching anymore. And second does not work for me anymore. Even after creating mkdir /var/run/tor/ manually and chmod go+w /var/run/tor at least tor starts with the applet but proxy settings for browser are not set (setting them manually I can use Tor).

I also tried coderus tor settings applet. It changed my browser settings once and did not do anything after that. I fixed the settings later in about:config.
