I have issues with my work account using Exchange, so I decided to delete and re-add it, but now I cannot add it again because I get the error "Account's server settings and policies require the device lock to be set". However I have device lock set (I have tried to change the timeout to different values, including "No delay" without any change in behavior). This account worked before update to 3.0.2, I think I added it on 3.0.0.

Side note: The error message reference "Settings | System | Device Lock" but the device lock setting is under "Settings | Security | Device Lock"

Eventually adding an account with device lock requirement broke in an earlier version.

I tried with a clean flashed device (if something was broken in my update) but it gives the same result.

Still broken in 3.0.3

I experienced the same behavior on reinstalling my Exchange-account, that worked fairly well before update to 3.0.2 and could somehow pass the device lock requirement. The account synced once but after that it does not sync anymore. I think the Exchange implentation over time has been highly unreliable, and still is. Its strange because the focus on govermental and corporate use would suggest this feature to be very important.

I have an identical problem in mail @ outlook.com and Exchange, synchronization works as it wants, does not recognize settings, often e-mails appear in the box but no notifications (sound and LED)SFOS 3.0.3

I was tired of this problem and started looking for a solution for my post @ outlook.com.

You have to enter the mail settings - general - mobile devices - you can see the Sailfish OS device on the list - on the right - enable logging and refresh - it should work properly. If it does not work, you must delete the Sailfish OS device and restart the phone, and perform the operation as above.
