On my XA2 with 3.0.2, the clipboard from within android does not work. For example when selecting and copying text from Fennec (where even the "copied text" notification does show), the clipboard can neither be pasted to other android nor SFOS apps. In fact, the latest (SFOS copied) clipboard is pasted.

EDIT: problem persists in 3.2.1.20 and on the Xperia 10. It apparently is related to AD for Android 8.1

Using Firefox for Android on Sailfish 3.1.0.11, my scenario is:

Select the text, 'boomers' from the HTML page.
Select the copy icon (highlighted).
Select the native Sailfish application, Notes.
Open a new/existing note.

EXPECTED: The clipboard should contain, 'boomers'.

ACTUAL: The clipboard is empty.

Select the text, 'theguardian.com', from the browser address bar.
Select the copy icon (highlighted).
Select the native Sailfish application, Notes.
Open a new/existing note.

RESULT: The clipboard contains 'theguardian.com'.

Although the following workaround should not be considered acceptable, it is possible:

WORKAROUND:

1, Copy HTML text within the Android browser application.

The text is not yet available on the clipboard for native Sailfish applications.

2, Paste the text into the address bar.

3, Copy the text in the address bar.

The text is now available on the clipboard for native Sailfish applications.

Clipboard is so broken in both my XA2s that it makes using my phone for work really difficult. Let's hope it gets sorted out for 3.4.0.

As a workaround, install Sailfish Connect and the Android version of KDE Connect anf pair the two (I sent a request from SF Connect to KDE Connect). If you tap the device in KDE Connect the 'request pair' button will be replaced with an accept/decline button.

I have the same problem with my Sony XA2. When I copy text in Threema (Android App) and try to paste it in the SF Email App, there is no clipboard symbol. Does anyone know how to fix this problem ?

It worked in previous sailfish version, now is broken again. Clipboard for android is not the same as clipboard for sailfish. You can send it as an email, open in native email client (because of native sailfish browser doesn't support gmail), and then copy to sailfiah clipboard... Simple sailfish

Same here.

In Firefox 67.0.3 in Rokua / Xperia X the clipboard is still working.
