This is a bit tricky to reproduce, but here are the steps:

  • Open Messages
  • Open a conversation with some messages
  • If you don't have any friends, send yourself a message
  • Open the keyboard by tapping the text area
  • Long press the latest message to open context menu
  • Notice the screen flickers as the system isn't sure how to render the animation

I'm not sure about the exact condition, but I am able to reproduce this the best with one and two messages. It does appear on long conversations too, but can be reproduced with just one.

I'm using XA2 Ultra with SFOS 3.0.2.

Edit: I closed it after was released, but after further usage it happened again, so it hasn't been fixed after all.

What i also realized, if you try to copy a sms message, the context menu will disappear that fast that you can just navigate through staying on the panel with your finger. Is this intention? Or a bug?

I can't figure out what you mean. I can copy sms messages no problem, even after flickering.

I'm running 3.0.3 now, and I can't reproduce the issue, no matter how hard I try. The animation seems smooth and, well, correct again.

Weird, now its working fine. But i had some problems at this moment, i wasn't able to send a sms, wether national nor international, maybe this influenced the functionality :/ i can't reproduce it. By the way it was on Xperia X
