I don't see any indications that Sailfish X would change the frequency bands of any of those XA2 variants in any way.
You still have to check if your specific model will work with any of the operators you intend to be using.

That's actually a question I wanted to ask some days ago, too. Funny. But my background was more in matters of security checking: we know airport security is allowed to check your cellphone and it has to be charged (at least what I konw and have heard, or otherwise they think it's a bomb). If your Sailfish phone is checked, it should be detected as a phone with switched OS. But according to US federal law, it is forbidden to change OS on devices (and thats what some EU cracks want to have to, dumb **). So it is questionable to me if you are allowed to use a Sailfish OS phone, at least Xperia X and XA2s with changed OS (old Jollas and Intex Aquafish should be fine then)?
Robberey ( 2019-04-05 01:37:24 +0300 )editThanks for this comment. From my own point of view, my Jolla 1 has no problems to cross the "Atlantic Ocean". Indeed, the J1 has an ICASA certification. The Jolla C has no certification. And the Intex Aquafish of my wife was converted as Jolla C (so with any certification). For the moment, i think that the best solution for me is to take my very old Nokia e72-1 :-(
