Cellular connection - select network automatically button

Xperia X, Sailfish version 3.0.2.8 (and all before). As many users I keep having problem with connection to cellular network especially on roaming. In the meantime I got another phone and I carry my sailfish around a bit like mp3 player:-( But the point is different: In Settings > Cellular network there is a switch saying "select network automatically". When it is on, it is almost impossible to switch it off. When I try, the phone starts to search for networks, what takes ages, and then eventually comes back with the switch still on. So I can't even try to select network manually... I find it a bit inconsistent in the GUI design.
I can remember it has worked with SailfishOS 2.x., but indeed, under SF 3.0.x.x its somehow broken...
