Accione and Accione P devices still stuck at Sailfish 2 allthough these are official Sailfish OS devices. Can users expect a system update for this release? If yes, when?

How did you get your Accione P flashed to sailfish in the first place would be nice to know!

I have ordered Accione P and Accione devices with a pre-installed Sailfish OS. I'll check the update. A few weeks ago, an official update was not available for Sailfish OS 3.

Ah, ok. I bought already in 11/2017 and have not found instructions how to reflash to sailfish. Jala is totally silent when asked and the beta program was for locals only as i understand. When and in which store did you buy a sailfish Accione? I am curious as hell.

I bought the devices directly from Jala as a corporate customer, but I think Jala sell the devices to consumer from their Facebook account.

If you want to get Sailfish OS installed to your ACCIONE P device you can contact Jala's points of sale and ACCIONE experience centers for more assistance. More information can be found from http://accione.com/#/en/contacto/soporte

Sorry for the OT rant, but i did and now ask myself why they are making it so hard for international users to do self service. I am writing emails and replying to Jala tweets since 11/2017 offering them help to document the install process for community users if they share the details but never got an answer other than to visit the service centers in bolivia. I wanted to register for the beta program in 02/2019 but the entry form explicitly asked for a local phone number and which store to visit... Again no reply to my very friendly spanish email how to become beta tester from abroad. What is your advice? Try again again and again or is there any more detailed contact at Jala than the general support email and promo tweet account?

Here is the solution:

Owners of an Accione P have change the partition sizes. The root partition for the system needs more memory. I followef the instrcutions sucessfully from this thread:

https://together.jolla.com/question/156279/installing-system-updates-fails-when-there-is-not-enough-space-in-system-data-partition/

I'll check the update for the Accione device as soon I have got it back from a test user.

I checked an Accione P phone today. It was shipped with Sailfish OS 2.2.1.23 and offers now a regular system update to the stop release 3.0.0.8 within the settings app.

I can download the release, but the installation fails after reboot. An error message says, that the installation did fail and I have to reboot the device. I have made a factory reset before. So we can exclude special conflicts.

After another factory reset I activated the developer mode and tried an update with terminal commands:

devel-su
ssu release 3.0.0.8
version --dup

Unfortunately this fails either:

REFRESHING CACHE AND DOWNLOADING PACKAGES
Finished transaction (status=1, runtime=1557501ms)
UPGRADING SYSTEM
[0 %] [Install] droid-hal-version-hy005 0.0.2-1.3.9.jolla: [100 %]
Error: Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: installing package droid-system-hy005-0.0.9-1.6.1.jolla.armv7hl needs 61MB on the / filesystem

Finished transaction (status=2, runtime=6259ms)
UPGRADE NOT COMPLETE - Retry 1 of 9

The settings app says, that there is 710,9 MB free memory for system data and 21,2 GB free memory for user data. On my Intex Aqua Fish there is 1,2 GB free memory for the system.

It's disappointing, because Accione P is a device of an official partner, who quoted many times in public relations of Jolla. Has someone a solution? It seems that the initial Sailfish release for the Accione P is too large for updates on the standard partition.

@jsommer, you can resize system partition. There is a good instruction here on JTC. Good luck!
