Cannot create email account with 3.0.3 [answered]

When trying to add a new email account (settings -> accounts -> add -> email) and after specifying the required information, the wizard hangs at "verifying account data" and finally terminates with a time out error.

Manually connecting (installed dev tools and openssl package) using openssl s_client in the terminal shows flawless availability.

Any pointers how to further debug this?

Indeed it's the same problem and the reboot-trick worked. Interesting.

@TheSeer Thank you for sharing your experience there. This bug is obviously difficult to reproduce, and as most users upgrade with existing accounts, we don't know when this has been introduced.
