I am using Sonos to hear Music at home. Since the update of SFOS the App is no longer working with my device. Sonos App is telling me that I have to do an OS update to use it. I think they are meaning Android.

What can I do to Update Alien dalvik?

I have the same problem. It seems that it is a problem with the alien dalvik 4.4. So the XA2 beta does not have this problem, due to higher android support level. This is prety bad. I hole Jolla will upgrade the dalvik side of xperia X!!!

I just downloaded version 9.3.2 from the apkmirror.com website and it clearly states that you need Android 4.4+ to install it. So I can confirm that 9.3.2 works on my Xperia X F5122.

But Xperia X users might get stuck at some point as the next version 10.0 is indeed Android 5.0+ only.

Which version of Android (Alien dalvik) is included in SFOS 3.0.3.8?

The version of Android emulation is dependent on your phone. Xperia X has 4.4 while the Xperia XA2 has 8.0. You could try to backup your phone and restore it to a previous version. If you find another solution post it but one thing is for sure, it will only be temporary until Sonos updates it's requirements to version 10 at which point I too will have to upgrade to an XA2.

@wmcig: It depends on the device but there should be no change to the previous version, especially in your case, Intex Aqua Fish.

You could instead use the native Noson app https://openrepos.net/content/piggz/noson

Upvote for porting this app ... there is no user guide and I have no clue how to add my SFOS device to the Sonos library :(

I notice the recent version is in the Jolla Store now

The noson app is only for navigating through an allready setup system.

to add a new device to your network you need the latest android or iOS app version. You could install the amazon appstore, install the sonos app, setup your system and uninstall them both again. Then use the noson app... its ho i did it...;-)

1) Set up the soundbar and calibrate the sound in iPhone App. Add necessary services. 2) Add iTunes library to the Sonos using the OSX App. Hint: Needed to share iTune Music directory Everyone-readall. 3: Install noson on Xperia SFOS and manage.

I still don't know how I can play my Music directory on my Xperia SFOS device. I feel like there needs to be a streaming service on the Xperia SFOS that streams the Music directory that I can then add in the noson app. Better would be the MyServices top pulldown menu has a "This Device" which could just read it, but doesn't.

I have reached the extent of my creativity.

I dont think it is a problem of the Intex Aquafish, because i have the same problem on my Xperia X. It is 100% related to the old 4.4 android version of Alien Dalvik. The sonos androidapp (on Sailfish X) I used to controll my sonos did not show any available updates. Also no updates on Yalpstore which I use for downloading and update android apps. I updated my sonos device through my Windows laptop as i was using it to insert new music folders to playlists. After that the app on my Xperia X was not usable because of the above mentioned. Now I use my XA2 (Stil stock android and not flashed with sailfish) to control sonos because its the only mobile device i have with a higher Androidversion (8.0) than 4.4. So it is obvios now.

Edit: System info added:

Windows Sonos app version: 10.1

Sonos Play 3 version: 10.1.2

Sailfish X (Xperia X) android app version: 9.3.2

XA2 (not flashed with SailfishX) android app version: 10.1.2

Edit 2: I flashed my XA2 last weekend. after that my XA2 does not connect to the Network. I added that to the Wiki.

Could you post your Sonos system software version and the Sonos app you use on your XA2 and the one on your X? Just asking because as I stated in my comment above, I also have the latest software versions but I can still use my Sonos 9.3.2 app on my Xperia X. On the other hand very honestly, the time is not on the side of the good old 4.4 users as you can see from these stats. http://gs.statcounter.com/android-version-market-share/mobile-tablet/worldwide/#daily-20190101-20190407 So, like it or not, but we will have to upgrade to an XA2 or better in the near future.

Yea, Jolla should consider dropping the Support for alien Dalvik 4.4 on the older devices such as J1, C (and Aqua Fish) and upgrade the Xperia X to the highest possible version. I think most people have already switched to the X. But only Jolla has all the Numbers to make the right decision.

Will look at home for the installed versions...

My Sonos system is on version 10.0

The iPhone (no, not mine) 10.1.2

Xperia X Sailfish 9.3.2
