How to fix low speaker sound in Wire app video call?

Hi everyone. I am using XA2 with Hossa. When I start a Wire video call I can hardly hear what the person from the other side says. Even in regular Wire call (Wire call with no video) the sound is coming from bottom speaker and very low, instead of the earpiece. I remember reading that the sound in WhatsApp is very low to the point of non existent as well. Does anybody know how to fix the sound in Wire app? Sorry if it is a duplicate question or already answered. I just could not find any info regarding this matter. Thanks in advance.

It's stated in 3.0.3 Hossa release notes "Voice calls with Whatsapp are not usable as the voice volume level is minimal (if can be heard at all).", I think your issue is most likely something quite similar to this. I assume that Wire is some kind of Android app and most of the Android app voice calls, video calls etc. aren't quite working in a correct way

"Even in regular call the sound is coming from bottom speaker and very low" by this, do you mean that when you're on a normal call, you are using loudspeaker since normally you'd had the phone on ear and top speaker on? There could also be some flint, dust etc. in the loudspeaker so try to clean it carefully. Have you tried to play media, does it sound normal or yet still low?

Thank you for your answer. Gsm, LTE calls and media sounds are fine. I ment using Wire for a voice call with no video. Like you said in this case the sound should be coming from the earpiece but it coms from the loudspeaker on the bottom. Also tried when connected to Bluetooth headset to make a call on Wire, but no sound at all. Headset works fine otherwise. Wire is a great secure app and video finally works instead of being blurred and tilted 90 degrees on the recipients end like when using my Xperia X. Ironically now there's no usable sound on Xperia X. It will be great if we get a fix from Jolla. Till then I'd appreciate a workaround tips from anyone.

Personally I'd also be interested in workarounds for these since it's not only Wire app that is affected by this. Unfortunately, as far as I've understood there are no workarounds or solutions to this
