After a time of using Android apps (eg Firefox, DB Navigator, Whstsapp), my XA2 does not recognice the touchscreen in the middle part any more. When I restart the phone it works again, at least for a short time. Other apps like OSMand or Here Maps also have touch screen problems when I try to move the map with one finger. The screen reacts like I want to clickon eg a certain street and not like I want to move the map. Maybe it is about a time lag which would be needed in the android touch screen programming to recognize if the touch continues with a.movement of the finger ? With two finger it sometimes works, sometimes not. Any idea whats the problem or how I can find out? Or does.anybody else has the same problem ?

Take a look at my question https://together.jolla.com/question/204282/alien-dalvikxa2bug-android-side-misbehaviour-on-screen-actionsfunctions/

It could be quite similar to your issue and it's tracked by Jolla.

I have had something similar with Jolla C'fied Aqua Fish that started around the time of updating to 3.0.3.

The bit of screen around one third downwards from the top (the level of power button) has started to become unresponsive. It feels like my physical phone is starting to ail, but it goes on and off and doesn't happen all the time.

The funny thing with it is that when I try to close an app with Swipe from Top gesture, the action occasionally fails when my finger reaches this bit of screen and the app window pops back full open. So the digitizer doesn't read it like I took my finger off the screen, because if it did the app would close.

When using CSD Tool to do the individual hardware test for "Surround Touch", these bits of screen initially fail for me but will turn green on second touch only an instant later.

The hidden CSD Tool can be launced from Settings - Info on this Phone (or something) and tapping five times on the "Build", if you want to test it.

I have the same problem that Sakke has on my XA2, and it doesn't feel like the same issue to me. I don't use my XA2 much, but I don't think I ever have experienced this OP's touch screen fail on it. But it can be linked obviously.

On a tangential whine, running the stupid CSD Test turns my bluetooth on and leaves it that way.

Maybe its similar, different apps different behaviour of the touch screen? CSD Tools do not show any wrong things on my XA2. I think it is related to the android layer...

I have the same issue too with my XA2. Just restarting aliendalvik helps.

In my case it seems that my Aqua Fish is physically ailing, and it's not related to the update. I did a factory reset, but my touch screen issues continue to be similar with 2.0.2.45 Aurajoki.
