high power consuption while and AFTER using GPS [answered]
I noticed, that the power consuption is quite high, when I'm using GPS in pure maps. I think, that is quite normal. But the high power consumption keeps on going even after I close pure maps. Also deactivating the GPS sensor through the top menu (where you can switch on and off flight mode, wlan, mobile data, ...) doesn't help. So far the only solution I foud was to reboot the phone, to get power consumption to a normal rate again.
I checked it with the the app "battery log". The current in normal state is between 100 and 200 mA. During and after using pure maps it is between 300 and 500 mA.
Is there any other solution (other than reboot) to fix the problem? Maybe a commandline tool, that is able to switch off GPS?
In a previous version, I noticed PureMaps hung on closing. While the app seems gone, the process was still active and consuming a significant amount of CPU. Perhaps that's the case in your situation as well. You can check with apps as Crest.
