XPERIA XA2 unlocking fails [answered]

hi

i'm on fedora 30. I have a shiny xperia xa2.

sudo fastboot devices -l
CQ30006KJ0             fastboot usb:1-4

when I do

sudo fastboot -v oem unlock 0xABCD123456

nothing happens.

When I disconnect the USB cable

FAILED (Status read failed (No such device))
    Finished. Total time: 200.861s

I followed the advice on https://jolla.com/sailfishx-linux-instructions-xa2/. I do have an unlock code from Sony.

Any advice??

Resolved: It was the USB 3.0 thing again. I used another machine with USB 2.0 Ports, that did it.
