Notifications Not Clearing SMS, Depecher, Signal, & Whatsapp

asked 2019-06-17 23:59:10 +0300

Hey all,

So this I am seeing in 3.0.3.10, basically when I receive a notification if I have say 4 sms messages and I click on one it takes me to the Message app and the corresponding message but the 3 previous remain, or if i pick one at random the others stay and I need to manually clear them. Same happens with Depechers, Signal, and Whatsapp... not sure what is causing it to not be cleared or what I could do to reset a setting or something.

I do not have phonehook, ofono, or Patchmanager installed now or prior to the upgrade.

Any suggestions on what logs to watch or anything?

Erm, isn't that how it is supposed to be? For me this feels intuitive and I do not remember it has been different in earlier versions!

If you click on the header section (not a single message) all notifications for this section should be cleared...

No it is not, in the past if I had multiple messages from one contact and clicked on one and went to the connecting app it would wipe clear the other notifications, now that does not happen. Secondly in Telegram, Whatsapp, and Signal if I read the message on my laptop it would also clear the notification, that also is no longer happening.

Which pbone? Probably a XA2?

Then the SFOS on that phone really behaves differently. Have a look here: https://together.jolla.com/question/205402/bug-e-mail-notifications-vanish-from-the-events-view/ whereas this sounds the exact opposite. :(

Nope, Xperia X F5121

Same issue with Xperia X F5122. All notifications have to be cleared manually, and keep arriving, even if app is being actively used. For example when calling a contact with Whatsapp, I get 2 notifications in the background (Whatsapp calling..., Whatsapp ringing...) which I have to clear manually afterwards.

@AAK yeah that is similar, not exactly the same. It is liveable, maybe it is fixed in the upcoming update.
