When searching for any file in a terminal on a Linux system, I usually use the "locate" command. But the package "mlocate" or "locate" does not seem to be available. What do the rest of you use in SFOS?

There is "find" of course, but "locate" would be nicer.

There is 'findutils' package in Jolla repository. It contains locate, find etc.

Thanks, but that does not seem to work for me:

pkcon install findutils

Fatal error: installed patterns-sailfish-core-device-1.0.18-1.11.1.jolla.noarch obsoletes findutils provided by findutils-4.2.31-1.2.5.jolla.armv7hl

So findutils has been superseded by patterns-sailfish-core-device. I don't have the guts to tinker too much with a system to which I am a new user, so I won't try to uninstall patterns-sailfish
