I've been using Hossa for just under a week now and i have noticed that completely at random the phone will vibrate but only for a single pulse. Sometimes it does it in chunks so say it will pulse once, it will wait a second or two and pulse and repeat itself. I don't get notifications when it does this nor can i seem to recreate it. Restarting doesn't seem to fix the issue either. Thankfully it doesn't burn through the battery. Any ideas on where to look for why it is vibrating like this?

(edit)I noticed that during my transit today the pulsing started while the bus was bouncing around a little. Could be coincidental but maybe it has something to do with it being set off by abrupt movement?

Model - XA2 Plus Dual, Build - 3.0.3.10

@Mhaylowe welcome to TJC. i dont how to help you with your problem. all i can say is my XA2 Plus does not have this problem, and never had.

maybe add some more info to your post... which version of sfos, and free or paid version.

It would be good to rule out whether it is Sailfish or Android side system causing this vibration.

Solution: turn off NFC in Settings.

TL;DR: While you're in the bus, you're probably storing you phone in same pocket or in a hand back were the touchless bus card is too.

The longer explanation:

Since version 3.0.3, Sailfish X for XA2 finally has drivers to support the NFC function of the hardware. But currently, it isn't used for anything - thus it's also an even for which you will get a vibration pulse, but nothing appearing on the screen.

You bus card (or whatever else happens to be in the same pocket at this moment) has some contactless functionnality (you probably validate the card without needing to put the chip inside a reader. See also contactless payment credit cards) is also using RFID. Your phone sees the card, the NFC chips gets the message from the RFID card (thus triggers a vibration) and then nothing happens, because nobody has written software yet to handle that peculiar card (nor anything else... it's very new tech in Sailfish X for Xperia, there isn't much NFC software written on Silfish except a few "Other Halfs" on Jolla 1 phones).

Either shutting down NFC on the Settings, or simply keeping the phone on its own should solve "the problem".

Note: my train card (contactless) triggers the exact same behaviour, and as there's currently no Sailfish-to-Android forwarding of NFC, the train's android app doesn't react to it so I also only get the vibration and nothing else.

Yep that definitely sounds like the culprit. Considering all the NFC stuff i have lying around.
