No device lock while charging

Sorry for the question, i am pretty shure that somebody asked that or I just don't find the configuration/question.

Is there a possiblity to disable the auto-device lock while the device is charging?

Ok, in fact my question is close-to-duplicate to https://together.jolla.com/question/3203/finer-control-over-the-auto-lock-delay/

I think the term you mean is "charging" instead of "loading". Both are correct translations of German "Laden", but they mean different things in English.

Indeed, changing that from "loading" to "charging", 'cause its not data loading, its device charging. thanks

For security reasons this would not be a good idea. Because I want my phone to be locked when I leave the room and I attached it to the charger. Maybe as a option in the menu it would cool. Does setting it to developer mode prevent it from locking?

I agree for the security reason, but a configuration on that would help - some people want the lock even while charging, some after time x, for me it is something like

  • not charging -> time x
  • charging -> i want to force it (with pulldown maybe)

But no, developer mode does not prevent this.

If you have developer mode install then nobody stops you making an app that follows the usb state signals and changes the settings accordingly.

But thanks for the feature request, I'll put my thinking hat on.

Funny - I just put that on my plans for apps - beside a mpd control app. Maybe I should start with the nolock-app...

Signals etc from USB state changes etc... are documented here: https://github.com/nemomobile/usb-moded/blob/master/docs/usb_moded-doc.txt
