What exactly is the nemo dialer?
Is Glacier UI a package that is already part of Sailfish OS or that is vetted? Is Glacier needed to use the Nemo Dialer?
What does the Process of using the Nemo Dialer to make SIP phone calls involve?
Is there a repo or package for this that is most popular?
Does needing to download many random repo's and packages compromise device security?

Glacier was essentially a Mer UI library to allow software to interface with users without using Jolla proprietary (and closed source) Silica components.
The Nemo Dialer is a dialer that uses Glacier instead of Silica, replacing the Jolla dialer.
All of this was very exciting a couple of years ago (and technically, it still is exciting!), but today, the project seems abandoned. I wouldn't touch those repositories unless someone trustworthy convinces me to do so, and I would not try to install those very old packages over a recent SFOS installation.

@kakow, I don't know anyone who uses SIP from the command line at the moment, and while I feel technically capable of doing this myself, I have no use case yet for SIP. But I remember having read many posts on TJC with related information (e.g. what packages are needed to configure SIP from the UI and some dbus calls to actually place a phone call) that I feel you must have had at hand when you asked this question. Would you mind linking those posts here for reference?
Other than that, I think this question is answered and may be closed.
