Flashing process is getting stuck because it says: cannot execute binary file. If I download the Sony binary file in Safari, the wheel keeps turning. Download happens to be an .img only, a disk copy. When I download in browser UR (Chrome), the binary file is a zip. Opening the zip gives two files: .img and .zip ( nile 16). I have a map with the Sailfish download. I pasted this in terminal and added the binary file, typed the command that Jolla gave. Result: cannot execute binary file. I tried to do it differently: pasted the binary file into the Sailfish folder and pasted this into terminal. Same result. It says: permission denied. It looks hopeless. What to do?

Could you provide:

  • the list of the contents of the directory where you extracted the SailfishX archive, and

  • the exact command you typed

?

Can you post a screenshot of the terminal window so we can see the exact commands and errors you are getting?
