hi everyone, i just bought an xperia xa2 and while i wait for it to arrive i wanted to know, is the camera really that bad compared to android?is the situation improved from when sf for xa2 launched or is still the same?will it ever improve?because this thing is making me dubious if to flas sf on it or not...

Update : the xperia xa2 arrived and honestly i was eager to install sailfish on it, i even bought a license for it and was waitind for next stable to have android 9 compatibility, till i saw what kind of photos does the xa2 with drms, at night or in low lights conditions and well, altought i am really hating this interface (the android one) it's hard to switch to sailfish, sailors please work on that damn camera as i really want to switch but the sf camera is really bad in comparison :)

I had both Jolla 1 and Aqua Fish. XA2's camera under Sailfish is much better than those of my previous Sailfish phones (and apparently has improved quite a bit since sf for xa2 came out) I can't compare with Android, but does it matter?

honestly it does matter a little, as i heard on low light conditions the xa2 is almost comparable to the jolla, which had a very bad reputation for it's camera, and altought i haven't tried myself i do hope it will improve, especially as i saw on frend's photos that on sf with low light conditions the camera is either too dark for the scene or too bright for the sky and that is not the case with android

anyway thank you for your opinion on the matter :)

Yes, you are right: see XA2 Plus Camera: too dark in low light settings. I never noticed, even in normal indoor lighting conditions. But in a cosy café, late at night, that may become a problem...

well in reality i don't care about the cosy café as i don't do selfie at all, it's more about the point we have a 23 mpx camera that is much better with android...i'm sure you get the point :)

Yes the camera is really really bad, but my camera is always in my backpack so this is not huge issue for me.
