Dear Developers,

I was using Intex Aquafish for last 3 years (approx.). I was happy with its gesture-controlled design and quite happy with its working. However, recently, unfortunately, I have got the screen broken. Then onwards, my phone started misbehaving and I could not get the right replacement at an affordable price (It seems that Intex is no longer interested in this segment). At this time, I was bit confused about my way ahead and at last, I became a user of Android (Nokia 6.1 plus).

I know that it is a suicidal attempt by Free Software lover. I searched for many affordable alternative where I can use internet applications easily. But, I could not find one which fits the need of a middle class Indian population. There is a huge gap in this segment. As I have to go on and use my many of applications day to day life, I decided to switch.

I won't blame the Jolla community, but myself only. However, I feel that we need to a lot more to make SFOS a matured OS for current scenario. Hope the SFOS will grow again and will come in an affordable phone for me.

I am saying good bye for time being. Hope to meet you all soon.

Sincerely, Sreekanth

Best wishes and thank you for the very friendly good bye message! I understand you, especially the "I have to go on and use my many of applications day to day life, I decided to switch" remark.

Otherwise maybe a used XA2 would have done? Or, sacrifying some more Android compatibility, a X? Second hand is quite affordable.

@walkingzen If you are willing to flash it yourself, you can buy some refurbished phones and use a community port. Phones which have up-to-date and usable ports: Nexus 5 (difficult to get), Samsung A5, One Plus Onyx, Redmi Note 5 Vince. There are probably others. All are affordable (cheap) and port quality is good. Only thing you'll miss is Android support (I don't :P).

@Zose It's fine if he doesn't want to explain. XA2 is not available in India. Jolla also does not sell Sailfish X in India.

I thought of Sony Xperia options. For time being it looked expensive for me ( due to my current financial s). I may look into this and other options including flashing other second hand phones in near future once I get stabilized in terms of job and all. ( I am in a phase from student to job seeker). I have issues as most of the banking applications in India work good in android only). I have some suggestions and ideas. I may share in near future as time permits. Regarding maxbhi option, I am not sure which all components got broken. The total cost for spare looked more than cost paid for phone. Thank you the
