Fingerprint unlock acts kinda weird: 1. I put finger on a sensor 2. Screen turns on with a pin prompt 3. I tap it again 4. Device unlocks

Is there a way to set it to read strait away after screen turns on? I can get used to tapping it a few times but that's kinda silly. Like I'm slapping it.... who's a bad boy? ... cought

edit: With fingerprint disabled phone wakes up and goes strait to a desktop screen. But only if a right finger is used ;) So it does reads fingerprint strait away. Doesn't it have to just detect touch in sleeping mode?

They could use this to display the peak screen at the first tap since the proximity sensor killed this feature.

Unlocking can happen only when unlock ui is in control - which requires that the display is on. So the 1st tap wakes up the device and gets unlock ui to active state, and second tap then unlocks.

For more info see: https://together.jolla.com/question/209614/fingerprint-reader-unlimited-retries-when-display-is-off/?answer=210577#post-id-210577

I'm not sure what you mean with "With fingerprint disabled phone wakes up and goes strait to a desktop screen", but ... fingerprint wake up behaves similarly to double-power-key press (if device lock is active -> wake up display and show unlock prompt, if device is not locked -> wake up display and exit from lockscreen). Which means that registering a fingerprint and then disabling device lock use should make the device behave as you describe.

So, one tap -> sneak peek is off the table also, if I got this right.

Appreciate your efforts, but sorry...this is just silly. Why do I need to tap twice? if i want to power the display to see some info, i would press the power button.Other than that, I would want to it to immediately unlock to 'home' with only 1 finger tap.

@Kopekenscheich Well, basically all of "Sneak peek" is off the table. It never got to be an officially supported feature, so: No plans, no qa testing - only occasional fixing of code rot etc when time permits.
