Hi everyone,

i would like to post my question if transfer from beta version of SFOS 3 to the final stable version 3.1.0.11 will charge some cost for end users or not?

Info from one month ago Beta cost 29,90 EUR and info from today 3.1.0.11 for all of XA2 49,90 EUR.

If i have bought already beta SFOS 3 i have right to use last 3.1.0.11 without additional cost or not?

Thanks for your response.

afaik you dont need to do anything. Beta means it was a discount earlier. After fixing bugs discount ended :)

You can use your licence without additional cost with the phone registered in your Jolla Account

I guess that you don't have to pay separately for Sailfish 3.1 when you bought the Sailish X Beta license. I bought my Sailfish X Beta license for XA2 Plus approximately four months ago and updated to Sailfish 3.1 last week and didn't get any notification that I have to renew my license. This means you should have the right to use Sailfish 3.1 without addition cost. However, I don't know, if you have to pay the Sailfish X Beta license price or the new Sailfish X license price if you have to renew your license after one year of usage.

The 1 year renewal clause has been removed with the release of the XA2 port. The website now states "Software updates/customer support as long as device is supported".

As far as beta licenses are concerned, as far as I recall there was an official answer from Jolla that beta licenses will automatically become full stable licenses without any additional costs. I think it was either in the comments of beta announcement blog post or the accompanying TJC thread, but I'm too lazy to search. ;)
