Help - Strange Issue with App Crashes [off-topic]

No idea what's going on; maybe someone has ideas...
I hadn't used my Xperia X Compact for a few months, having been messing around with a new Android, so when I turned it back on a few days ago, and saw a new update, (3.1), I updated ota, (I was running 3.0.1), and everything seemed fine. I'm using @g7's patch, with official license bought for X. Only problem I had was the current, known 'no install option' problem on Storeman, so I installed a few apps and updates via rpm download from Openrepos...
This morning, all of a sudden, (I'm almost 100% sure I haven't made any changes besides installing a few apps), every app I open crashes, at some point. For example, I can open Settings, and it's fine, but then I click, 'display', or whatever, and the app crashes, and minimizes to a card. After a few seconds, I can open it again. Same with every other app. I can use the browser without crashing, but I think that's the only one I've found so far. It's like the initial app start screen loads fine, but anything I try to make it do causes a crash
That being the case, I can't change anything to try to fix it or troubleshoot. I can't open patchmanager to disable patches, I can't stay on Storeman long enough to uninstall anything, terminal crashes after one or two commands, etc... Not sure what options I have at this point.
If I have to wipe/reflash the OS, it's no big deal to me, but I was kind of curious about what's going on, and it would be nice to not have to do that....

Update - browser just crashed trying to upload a photo...
